According to an official report, Netherlands and Brazil have reportedly risen from their previous positions on India's top list of export destinations in the current fiscal year. Currently ranked eighth, Brazil will be India's 20th most popular export destination between April and October 2021. The US and UAE are still in the lead.

In the current fiscal year to date, exports to Tanzania have increased by three times to $2.4 billion. The increase in the amount of gasoline and diesel shipped to the African country accounts for almost 80% of India's exports. While India's total exports increased by 12.5% to over $263 billion, exports of oil products increased by about 70%.

According to the Import Export Trade Data, imports rose 5.4 percent to USD 55.9 billion in November as compared to $53 billion in the corresponding month a year ago. Also, the trade deficit widened to $23.9 billion during the month of November.

Belgium and Germany were on the list for the previous fiscal year and are no longer included.

India's exports to the Netherlands increased by 238% between January and August of current fiscal year, totalling $3.67 billion. Even supplies of pharmaceuticals ($219 million) and chemicals ($513 million) were still sizable.
